Kathy Hees, CMPAfter 20 years of working in the electronics industry and bookkeeping, I decided I needed a big career change. I wanted to be doing something that felt more rewarding to me and that was helpful to others. I was introduced to massage years ago while seeing a chiropractor for neck problems due to work, and so became aware of its many benefits. Having had a lot of massage, I felt I could use that experience to create a new career for myself. After completing the Swedish Massage program at Twin Lakes College, I knew working in a clinical environment would suit me best and enrolled in the Clinical program at Twin Lakes. Since then, I have continued my education and taken classes in myofascial release with some emphasis on cranial sacral release. My massage is a combination of soothing Swedish strokes, deep tissue clinical work, and pressure point releases. I have been working since graduating in June 2001 and have found the work very rewarding. When not working, I enjoy hobbies such as gardening, knitting, reading, baking and mosaic tile work.

Laura FriendI became interested in practicing massage after many years of being on the receiving end. The practitioners seemed to be enjoying their work so much. A lifechanging trip to England made me realize that it was time to study massage, and I signed up with the Twin Lakes College of Healing Arts as soon as I returned. I have been practicing since 1996 and love it. My background is in pharmacy and I have a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California Santa Cruz. When I'm not working, I enjoy nature, cooking, entertaining, music, travel, film, humor and good conversation. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Polarity and some Shiatsu are my specialties.
